There are whispers that Michael Bloomberg mayor of NYC is being considered for the VP slot. Now that's an interesting idea. Personally, I like it. Bloomberg is savvy when it comes to the economy and Lord knows we need some help with that. He's officially an Independent.
A lot of the progressives on blogs say he was too "pro-war" but he's not anymore, and if we are going to use supporting the Iraq war at its inception as a benchmark then we have to eliminate a lot of good potential candidates.
That said, and you know I hate identity politics , but a Black man AND a Jew. There are some people in this country who would see that as a sure sign of the end times. ( This is the same reason BTW I don't see an Obama/Richardson ticket, just a little too much brown)
